Today’s buy part 2

Now that my cat is happily dozing in her bed I managed to take further pictures.

20140123-184529.jpg

This is the Revlon Colourburst in vivacious
As you can see it’s a beautiful deep pink. Also in the next photo is No7 precision lip pencil there is no colour listed on it, but it’s a dark berry red.

And the last purchase was Rimmel Scandaleyes thick and thin eyeliner which has a special nib that turned each way does a thick line or thin one. I couldn’t get a picture of the nib properly but here’s a pic of the pen itself.

That’s all for today what do you think?

Today’s buys

Today I bout a few items of makeup, some of which I can’t show you yet thanks to an overly affectionate cat.

20140123-171635.jpg

The first if the two I can show is Rimmel London’s Lasting Finish Colour Rush. Its a creamy soft beautiful bright pink colour. The picture is effected by the yellowish lights.

20140123-172057.jpg

The second item is No7 Stay perfect Superlight foundation. The colour is in Cool Vanilla.
This is from Boots drugstore, they test your skin and it only takes about 30 seconds with a photo tester and it gives you the perfect colour for your skin and mine was obviously Cool Vanilla.

I will hopefully add another post with the other 3 items after Isis starts ignoring me again.

Glossybox

My January Glossybox came today with hits and misses. The baby pink box is gorgeous and will be used for trinkets. Inside was black tissue paper tied up with a bow as usual, very nice touch.

YU-BE Moisturising skin cream:
This multi-use cult moisturising cream from Japan revamps your skin, enriching it with vitimin E, vitimin B2, camphor and a unique high glycerine content. It’s essential to all skincare regimes.
This works lovely on my friends psoriasis but the camphor smell really put me off so hit and miss for me.

Balance Me Super Toning Body Wash:
With a blend of juniper, bergamot, geranium and lavander essential oils, Balance Me super toning body wash is the best way to start the day.
I’ve not used it yet but it smells gorgeous.

The Vintage Cosmetic Company floral slanted tweezers.
Absolutely the prettiest tweezers I have seen.

Anatomicals Puffy the Eyebag Slayer Wake up Under Eye Patches:
Look like the walking dead? These under eye patches will help reduce fine lines, wrinkles and revitalise the delicate skin around your eyes.
Again I’ve not tried these yet as you need to leave them on for 30 mins.

Vaseline Essential Moisture Lotion:
This is a really easily absorbed gorgeous lotion that really helped my hands and elbows etc.

So that’s it for my Glossybox subscription box for this month. I’m mostly happy with what I got. What are your thoughts?

Bourjois and ELF

Firstly let me apologise about the photos, the winter sun is extremely bright today and it’s bleached the photos.
Firstly the Bourjois single eyeshadow in bleu magnetique. The first swatch came off very crumbly however the second was fine so I hope it was just a small loose piece I got to begin with, as you will see the swatch is a bit patchy too but multiplying the layers should sort that out.
The blue looks black in the packaging and I was going to send it back but decided to chance opening it and I’m glad I did. It’s a rich navy blue colour.
The purple one also looks dark in the packet but you can just make out the purple hint and when it’s used it comes out a gorgeous rich purple fit for royalty.

Overall I am mostly happy with my mini haul. Thanks for reading. Do you use any of these products or similar eyeshadow crayons? Let me know as I’d love to try more.

On to the ELF swatches, these were beautifully and creamy and very pigmented from the first layer. I can’t wait to try them.
The blue eyeshadow stick is called “like a boss” and the purple is called “check me out”

Birchbox January

20140115-211416.jpg

20140115-211428.jpg

I have yet to try these out but I was really excited to get Benefits Porefessional as I’ve heard so much about it. Birchbox says “An award winning primer that magically erases pores and leaves skin velvety” ” smooth the lightweight formula over skin after moisturiser then blend with fingertips”

Next is Phillip Kingsley Elasticizer ” A hair saviour. This mask strengthens, nourishes and prevents breakages” “work through damp hair. Let it sit for 20 mins then shampoo and condition”
I can’t see me sat around with damp hair for that long so this has been passed on to a family member.

20140115-212324.jpg

Birchbox eye mask is easily described, stick it in the fridge then put on eyes to cool and rest your eyes.

Lavera basis sensitive hand cream
” organic Shea butter and almond oil protects and moisturises parched winter hands”

20140115-212749.jpg

Rodial Bee venom moisturiser
This is ridiculously expensive £150 for full size. It uses plant stem cells to improve skin tone and elasticity.

Lastly there’s Moa a The Green Balm
” A multipurpose all natural balm that nourishes dry skin, treats burns and scrapes and even cleanses” this I love as even a lip balm it luxurious and lasts for hours.

So what did you get or like the most?

ELF Haul

I got two deliveries today, one was Birchbox and the other was from ELF. I am going to focus in the second one today and try to get Birchbox tomorrow. Right, let’s get started!

Firstly is the 14pc nail cube in jewel tones I got this for £15 so at around a £1 a polish how can you go wrong?

20140115-122920.jpg

20140115-122910.jpg
Please excuse the reflection of my phone in these pics. As I have only received these today I’m afraid I haven’t had a chance to use them so a review will follow shortly.

Next up is the All Over Colour Stick in Lilac Petal.

20140115-123429.jpg

20140115-123441.jpg

This is soft, creamy and a beautiful colour. I will make a gorgeous blusher. All for £1.50!

Next are two Shimmer Eyeliner Pencils. One is Grassy Green and the other is Twinkle Teal. Again I’ve not tried these yet so I will review them soon. £1.50 each.

20140115-123823.jpg

The last two are pictured together, one is a Mineral Blush in the colour Joy £5.00 and then Lip Exfoliator which is a lip scrub in lipstick form. £3.75

I got all of this with a £10 off voucher so I’m happy with what I got. What do you think? Have you tried ELF products? What do you think of them?

New brushes

20140111-144926.jpg

20140111-144935.jpg

All these brushes are from eBay and are real hair except the eyeliner brush. The eyeliner brush is the bent one that makes it easier to reach the lids. Very handy.

The middle brush is soooo soft and blends the crease beautifully. And the larger brush makes applying brush and contouring so easy.

Do you only use real techniques brushes or take a risk on others. I paid £5 total for all those brushes.

Eye makeup

Today I got Bobbi Brown mascara in black and a sparkly eyeshadow/liner in silver.

20140106-125244.jpg

The mascara it the Waterproof and Lengthening formula, in future I will have to use it with my volumizing mascara like Benefits They’re Real but these photos are just the Bobbi Brown on its own.

As for the eyeshadow it is Collections Glsm Crystals dazzling gel liner which I coated my whole lid in. Just a bit late for party season but I have it for next time.

Eyeshadows and eyeliner

I have two new eyeshadows, one of which I love but the other I am very disappointed in.

First up is Rimmel Scandaleyes in Gossip green, it is gorgeous. It’s so creamy and easy to put on without dragging the eyelid with it unlike some which are more dry. In short Love!

20140104-215439.jpg

Next is the disappointment, I am really sad to say this as the other colour tattoos are gorgeous but the Endless Purple one does not spread easily or evenly at all, very sad about that as I had such high hopes for it.

20140104-215805.jpg

20140104-215846.jpg

Now back to a happier place, I have a Manhattan long lasting gel liner in Petrol which has amazing colour payoff, spreads lovely and really is long lasting as it took a lot of makeup remover to get it off lol

Do you use gel eyeliners or pen ones? Have you had good results with the colour tattoos?
